About Me
I believe in the power of images as a tool for transformation
I’m an underwater photographer from Rio de Janeiro, passionate about telling the stories that inhabit the silence of the deep sea. I hold a degree in Advertising and a postgraduate specialization in Business Administration, and I spent two decades in the corporate world — the last twelve years leading sales teams for major companies.
I’ve been a diver since 2009 and started photographing underwater in 2012, initially as a hobby. In 2024, I decided to leave the corporate environment to dedicate myself full-time to photography. Since then, I’ve received national and international recognition for my distinctive work, which blends technical skill, sensitivity, and purpose.
As a passionate advocate for sharks and marine life, I believe in the power of images as a tool for transformation. Through photography, I aim to raise awareness and inspire conservation — breaking stigmas, promoting respect for these often-misunderstood animals, and highlighting the importance of preserving our oceans.
In just a year and a half of dedicated work behind the camera, I’ve received more than 20 recognitions in national and international competitions, including 10 podium finishes among the top three. One of the greatest highlights of my journey so far was earning a place at the Underwater Photographer of the Year (UPY), the world’s most prestigious and competitive underwater photography contest. I was honored to become the first Brazilian, and the first Brazilian woman, to stand on the podium in the contest’s history, achieving third place in the Wrecks category.
My images have been featured in major media outlets around the world, reflecting my deep commitment to art, nature, and the urgent need to protect it.
